How do you decide on the workouts you should do?

The answer to your question really does depend on you. I can tell you what we use and what I personally have found helpful and enjoyable though!

RUNNING:
The number one and most important workout I ( <- ie me personally) think that you should do is running, or if your body can't handle running a brisk walk/jog. Running helps tone your core, it helps your agility, and helps teach you proper breathing and it helps you lose weight faster than anything else. A great program I use ( I downloaded it for .99 a few years back I am not certain how much it is now) but I have it through itunes. It is called Couch to 5K. It helps you build up your stamina to run and it uses more of the interval training to get you there. This is by far my most favorite training program I have used and it is easy peasy to navigate.

AT HOME WORKOUTS:
Ashley is a Beach body Coach and that is initially what got us started with the at home workout dvds; but I can say with 100% honesty for someone who is limited on time, busy with their children, or even struggling with finances (not being able to afford a personal trainer or gym memberships) these workouts are the go to. The main thing is you HAVE to stay motivated and you really have to be dedicated. It is always better to workout with a friend that way you have someone motivating you or pushing you to keep up but when it comes right down to it at home workouts solely rely on you.

I will review the ones I have done to give you some ideas here::

P90x simply wasn't for me. I didn't like that I had to have equipment (like the pull up bar) that was really hard to set up in my apartment due to the way my layout is. I didn't find it fun to do and therefore I find it hard to recommend that particular workout to people.

Insanity is probably my all time favorite. Shaun T being the main reason ツ but seriously it is a high impact cardio workout, that is shown to you step by step and you feel great afterwards no matter how sore you are. I HIGHLY recommend trying this one.

Brazilian Butt Lift is an in between one for me. It certainly does give you the results you need but with only 2 discs it begins to get repetitive. That is where your focus comes into play. This workout really is worth the money and I have noticed results quickly but I find myself turning the captions on and changing the music to keep me pumped up !

Turbo Fire is the newest one I have tried and this one gets you going ! It is pretty much the female version of Insanity with way better music and more dance-y moves. I find that I like this one almost as much as I like Insanity (again who wouldn't like to look at Shaun T for 45 minutes!?) This one would be a really fun one to do with a girlfriend or a group of friends given the space. There are plenty of discs so it doesn't seem repetitive, they provide you the equipment that you need (which is great because it is only resistance bands) and the music is good enough you don't have to mute it.

My days are repetitive. I wake up, get Jaxson ready, take him to daycare, go to work, get Jaxson from daycare, come home - cook -clean- put Jax to bed.. it is as if I don't have time do anything else and that is where these videos help. When you buy them they come with workout calendars that tell you exactly what workout to do for what day. I am able to fit in my workout in the morning before Jax gets up or at night after he goes to bed. I try to do two a days ( I am currently doing Insanity at night and Brazil Butt lift in the morning)

HITTING THE GYM:

One of the best websites to find workouts on is bodybuilding.com
I love love love the Jaime Eason Live Fit Program. Just because it is a body building site does not mean they are trying to give you workouts to look like a body builder. The live fit program SHOWS you exactly how to do the workout properly and it gives you a daily workout calendar that makes it easy for you to just go to the gym and check it off the list.
Here is the website ::

Of course I do suggest to surf this bodybuilding site and see what would work best for you but this one I enjoyed the most and actually wanted to do daily.

RANDOMS:

Yoga, Hot Yoga, Pilate's, Zumba, Kickboxing:: All classes that will cost money if you don't have a gym membership.
Group classes are great because you are in a setting where you wont give up and it is designed to keep you interested and wanting to come back for more.
Yoga, Hot Yoga, and Pilate's will help you with core work, flexibility, breathing, and strength as well as mind and body relaxation. It isn't as easy as people make it out to be, I have been the most sore after a few yoga workouts but I am an addict and love every single class I have been in.
Zumba is very upbeat and dance oriented. It is a fun and carefree class but it is one hell of a workout and makes you work up a sweat. I highly recommend trying this one day.
Kickboxing not only is great to learn for self defense but because it really does help you strengthen muscles you never knew you had. I love kickboxing only if the class isn't too full .

Hopefully this all helped, and if you have more questions or curiosities please let me know!!

*** Please remember what we have been saying all along in this. If you do not eat clean you are not going to benefit from workouts. It all depends on what you are putting into your body -> fried foods, sodas .. those aren't going to help you when you are busting your butt working out. You don't have to diet but just eat healthier..little by little.
